Thank You to All Our Sponsors and Volunteers!

Kudos to Mary, Douglas, Alonda, and Sonjanique (Social Committee) for donating supplies to assist with the Easter Egg hunt. The children were eager and had a great time!

We want to thank Megan, Samad, Anthony, Board members Rick Cantu, Tricia Ortega, and Pat James for their time and continued support.

We want to thank our Teen Volunteers for all of their help setting up, distributing candy and cleaning up.

We also would like to let everyone in Country Walk – know that Social Committee Members, and Board members are all volunteers. No one is being paid to establish and set up events, nor are the board members or other committees paid to take care of Country Walk. This is why volunteering is so important. We can host more events when we all pitch in through neighborly collaboration.

Amenities Work Completed

The HOA has been hard at work refreshing the amenities for the coming pool season:

  1. Fresh sod has been put down (see note below)
  2. Mulch has been placed down
  3. Outside of community room painted and pressure washed
  4. New rocks in place to help with erosion
  5. Drain installed by the play ground
  6. Pool deck has been repaired
  7. New railroad ties installed by the basketball court
  8. Grill and park benches painted
  9. Tennis ball holders removed (they were being used as trash containers)

Next up: splash pad repairs.

A Few Notes About Using the Amenities Area

Homeowners, when you see caution tape that means do not cross over into those areas. The steps and the area with the new sod by the playground have been marked off. Please do not allow your children to run through the water sprinkler that is watering the new sod.

Speaking of the playground, please don’t let your kids ride electric vehicles, bikes, or motorcycles through the playground. And please stop moving the picnic table around.

Always Clean Up After Your Dog!

Every responsible dog owner in Country Walk knows that you need to clean up after your pet right away, whether you’re walking down the sidewalk or playing on the field, whether it’s private property or common areas. We do not have a sanitation committee to take care of this for you: if it is your pet, it is your responsibility to clean up after them. Do not hide dog poop under pine straw on your neighbors lawns or in the common areas.

The City of Powder Springs follows Cobb County’s Animal Control policies (Ord. No. 2006-16, 8-21-2006). Section 10-138(b) states: “Persons who permit their animals to defecate on public or private property other than their own property are required to immediately pick up the feces, bag the feces, and properly dispose of the feces. Animal waste shall be removed by placing said matter in a closed or sealed container and thereafter disposing of it in the animal owner’s or public trash receptacle, sanitary disposal unit or other closed or sealed refuse container.” Please note that violations of any part of this ordinance subjects you to a fine. Animals that “damage, soil, defile, eliminate or defecate on private property other than its owner’s property or on public property” are considered to be “nuisance animals” and can be reported to Cobb County Animal Control as such (Section 10-9).

All pets must be kept on a leash and be under the physical control of a responsible person at all times while outdoors unless in an approved containment area.

If you see an animal running loose in the neighborhood, contact Cobb County Animal Control.  (770) 499-4136

Social Committee Monthly Meeting and Call for Volunteers

Our next monthly Social Committee meeting will be Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at 6:30 pm in the CWHOA Community Room. Social Committee meetings are the third Tuesday of every month at 6:30 pm.

As our community grows, we will be able to have more successful events and activities. We are depending on YOU to make it happen without overburdening just one or two volunteers. We understand that each of your families have enormously busy schedules, and we know how important it is for you to have family time. However, it is vitally important that we acquire your assistance for each planned event. Our major events require 5-7 volunteers for 2-3 hours set up and take down decorations. If you volunteer, you won’t be alone: Our board members will also serve as volunteers.

Please contact me via phone or text message at your earliest convenience to sign up as a volunteer for future events. We’d also like to get teens more involved in planning activities for their peers, and contributing to the monthly newsletter.

The Social Committee is looking for youth who are interested in writing articles for the newsletter, taking pictures at events, designing flyers and creating advertisements. The youth will be given community service hours for their participation.

April’s ACC focus for inspection: sod, grass, mulch, mowing, edging, weeds.

ACC Updates

ACC Reminders:

  • ACC has up to 45 days to vote on projects, please plan accordingly. Not all votes can be expedited due to vacations/work/scheduling. The more information that is provided, the better the chances are for a quicker approval. Diagrams, measurements, specifying materials, listing approved paint colors and numbers, and attaching copies of any necessary permits from the City of Powder Springs to the original request will reduce the back and forth and get your project approved quicker.
  • Any project change or modification that can be seen from the road must have approval from the ACC via an approved Modification Request.

Work done without submission of a modification form and without ACC approval is subject to a non-negotiable $750 fine.

If you have any questions about upcoming projects or violations, please email modifications@allinonemgmt.com.

Free Jazz Concert on April 25

The District 12 Jazz Large Group Performance Evaluation (LGPE) will be held at Thurman Springs Park in Powder Springs on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 12 pm to 9 pm. This event, featuring student jazz bands from Cobb County and surrounding areas at the Hardy Family Automotive Amphitheater, is free and open to the public.

At last year’s event, the performances went from very good to incredibly professional as the ensembles escalated by age group from middle school to high school. A good time was had by all, and the band directors marveled at having the opportunity to play in a venue as pleasant and welcoming as the Hardy Family Amphitheater. Such a treat to hear such great music from such accomplished students. Bring your folding chairs, blankets, and picnic baskets for a great day and evening of entertainment.
